UNI Trip!
This post is from October 12, 2007, when Jason and I drove down to Kevin and Sarah’s for the UNI Homecoming game. I started our blog on blogspot, but now Jason has made our reidnet.org a blog so we can keep you updated on our lives! Jason and I headed down to stay with Kevin and Sarah last Friday afternoon. We ended up getting to their place at 6:01pm, to be exact! The trip down wasn’t eventful, luckily. Although, I was the big winner of the day! I won a free small McFlurry from McDonald’s off my medium diet coke that I bought! I was pretty excited, as Jason can attest to.
On Saturday, the four of us headed to the UNI (University of Northern Iowa, Jason and Sarah’’s alma mater, for those of us who do not live or have not lived in Iowa!!) game against Southern Illinois. We left the game with about five minutes left in the fourth quarter (I know dad would have yelled at us!!) since there were over 17,000 people in attendance, and we really didn’t want to wait in hours of traffic (especially since Baby Corizzo was getting hungry!). Those last five minutes were the most exciting of the whole game! We listened on the radio while we went to find a pizza joint to have some supper. UNI did win but it was down to the last second! It was so much fun, and I know Jason had a blast seeing his campus again after many, many (don’t worry I won’t say how many exactly!) years.
Sunday we were on our way back home. The weekend went by so fast. I could not believe when I went to bed that I had to go to work the next morning! I am going to vote for the presidential candidate that wants to pass a law stating we only workfour three days a week and enjoy three four days a week to rest and relax! Speaking of presidential candidates, did anyone read that Stephen Colbert from the Colbert Report just announced his candidacy for president the other day.
Hope everyone is enjoying the weather! The sun is starting to come out today, and I think it is going to get into the 60’s! Much nicer than the rain and cold the last three days.
