Back!
We're back, at least for the time being :)
First, the most important thing, it was my 28th birthday yesterday! I woke up to find gray hairs and wrinkles. Not actually, I will be like my mother and never have a gray hair. Speaking of hair, I have been thinking of going back to my natural color. Unfortunately this blond that I'm currently sporting is not my natural color, it comes via chemicals. No, as Mom says, my true hair color (if I ever let my roots grow out long enough to identify it properly) is actually a dishwater blond. Obviously, after washing my dishes and looking at the water, that is the color that I want on my head. It is, however, the color God gave me, so maybe I should try it on. I have been thinking that the blond doesn't really go with my skin color and blue eyes. But, on the other hand, Jason does remind me "I married a blond"...but I remind him, you married a 22 year old blond, I'm 28 so you can trade me in for something else ;)
Oh, back to the most important thing, my birthday. You see I don't only have the day of my birth, but I have a month. The whole month of April I consider my birthday. Why? Because I can. Plus, I love not having to do much with the explanation "it's my birthday month". I think my family is fairly surprised Jason hasn't killed me yet, especially when he asks me to pick up the sticks in our yard and I say but it's my birthday month, duh!!!! Yesterday, on the actual day of my birth, he had the audacity to ask, nay demand, that I make phone calls! What kind of husband would torture me to make phone calls to our insurance agent on my BIRTHDAY??
I had a fantastic birthday party. Dad, Mom, Nicole and Matthew came over and we ate, opened presents and played Forza 3 on the Xbox. Dad was laughing so hard he had tears running down his cheek! Mom is horrible at Forza, Dad was picking it up towards the end, Nicole and Matthew were naturals.
Now that my birthday month is coming to an end I had this epiphany. Since May is our Anniversary, that means I can now tell Jason "but it's my anniversary month". He quickly told me that it was also his anniversary, so I told him May would then become neutral month. We couldn't make demands on the other person for the whole month! He didn't quite believe that, he probably figures I will use the month to my advantage and take away his right to the month, which is very true. He is looking forward to July when his birthday rolls around, although I will put the kabash on any birthday month he may have planned. You see, birthday month only applies to me :)
At this point, you may be asking 'Lindsay what is the second thing that you want to talk about on your blog?' Nothing. My birthday is about it.
Oh, yes, I thought after a few years of being off the blogsphere that I would try to post somewhat regularly. It is now spring with summer coming up on us fast so I don't know if this is the best time to start in, but we shall see how it goes.
We are pretty excited to be Uncle and Auntie again, very soon! Kevin and Sarah are welcoming (with 89.7% conviction according to Kevin) a baby GIRL!! No, they did not find out from the doctor but I have a feeling it's a girl also.
Well, now that I wrote a novel, it's time for me to log off. Happy Tuesday!
