Mother's Day and the Artist!

Wow, I celebrated my first Mother's Day. It was a bit surreal but Daniel gave me lots of smiles that day, and cried a lot for Daddy (while Mommy was at work)! What a good son of mine :) He knows his allegiance!

This is from the 3 month pictures (see below!).

I have a wish for Mother's Day. Now, do not go rolling your eyes, wishes do come true, you know. I remember when I was 5 and on my birthday I wished for my first bicycle and not just any bicycle but a Strawberry Shortcake bicycle. Guess what I was cruising around town on all summer? I believe I just made my point!

This Mother's Day, and ever Mother's Day to come, I will wish that everyone that wants to have a baby, be a Mommy and get all those smiles directed at her, gets her wish granted. I know a lot of people that try so very hard, spend a lot of money and shed numerous tears trying to be parents. I remember all the why's. I say a little prayer for you :)

Daniel must be saving up his allowance, wherever he gets his money from, I have not a clue, but he was so kind as to buy me a Kindle Fire. I love it. I was a little apprehensive about it, but now that I have it I use it all the time. Jason must have given Daniel a hint to get it for me so that I would not be using his iPad all the time. That Daddy is so clever!

I thought I would add this picture. It was Daniels first day at daycare. The little kids love him. I do believe they are having more fun, in this picture, playing with the toys than playing with him. The boy to the right is Richard. Daniel and Richard are best friends!

A post or two ago I mentioned that Daniel was a little artist at daycare and I finally have scanned the pictures!

This was his done on his first day. They usually hang the artwork up around the rooms and as they need room you get to take it home.

I am surprised at how well he can draw a tree! He's a genius! :) It is so cute to see the lines of his little fingers in the paint.

I believe that these are raindrops. They are in the shape of raindrops and one day the curriculum was about raindrops. Either that or maybe he cries a lot so they wanted him to see what his tears look like!

"Hear" is my Mother's Day present from Daniel. I just love his chubby little hands. Jason believes that it says Hear instead of Here because Daniel is too little to know the differences in the words. I guess there goes my genius comment from above!

Today we had 3 month pictures at Sears. They turned out okay. Maybe I just had my hopes set a little too high. I did get a big package deal and the photographer gave me tons of discounts that she, apparently, was not supposed to be giving me. Plus, she told me that I would 'probably' be getting some wallet photos because I forgot to order those.  The package came with a CD, which I love to always have, just in case anything ever happens to the photos or I just want to print more out. The pictures are from the CD.

The pictures I am posting are the 'effects' pictures. She did quite a few to give me an idea of the different effects they can do at Sears. I ordered so many pictures that everyone gets a few :) I will mail them as soon as I get them in, along with the newborn pictures that we ordered.

Daniel did really well at his shoot. He was smiling a lot until the end and then he started to get a little crabby. He was getting tired and it was so hot in there I could have taken a nap too. Did I mention that the blue sweater was mad by Jason's Aunt Ann? I know, I couldn't believe it either!

Everyone says that Daniel looks just like Jason, so I thought I'd throw a little side by side together. I realize that the camera angle is a little off, but he looks like Jason so much. I keep mentioning the nose but looking at the pictures I definitely see the head is the same too. Apparently they both like to try to get their hands up in pictures too!
