Benumbed, Boreal and Brumal!

What do these words all have in common? They all mean cold, as in the tempature cold. I am very ready for spring to begin. When the bitter cold atmosphere starts to envelope the earth in October or November, I start to have a tingle in my toes. This changing of air makes me smile, knowing that the holidays are right around the corner and beautiful white puffy snow is coming.
Does that not sound peachy? It does for me! Then a few months go by, and you can feel the air temperature start to increase and you think of the wonderful things you could be doing outside, and you start to become cranky. Your crankiness is inactivated one weekend when the weather is 30 degrees! The dreggy snow is now melting, hooray! That feeling does not last long, though, because it starts to get colder and colder until every weekend it is -3 degrees when you wake up in the mornings.

Yes, it has been -3 degrees almost every morning the last few weeks. The two attorney’s I work with and their families are going to Texas for almost two weeks! Luckily them.
I really hope that spring will get here soon! No more snow, no more bitter cold weather…although when Summer gets here, I can almost make certain that I will be complaining about the humidity and how crazy hot it is! Thus is life!

I remember telling Jason how I would love to live in Hawaii, that is until we went there for two weeks for our honeymoon! My hair is fine, but thick and very curly, not a good combo for high humidity. Hawaii is wonderful though. It was a shock to go to bed at night and our sheets were always a little damp, or get clothes out of the closet and felt as though they were out of the dryer too early! Otherwise, the people are great and the scenery amazing!

Has anyone been to England? That is my next destination!
