Connor Update!
We did not get to go down to Iowa to see Connor this weekend :( I am pretty bummed about it, but it is for the best. The poor little guy was not eating, lethargic and lost 12oz less than a week after being born. Sarah and Kevin brought him to the hospital so he could be on a feeding tube. I think everyone was having heart attacks. We were just so worried for our little nephew. Alas, by Saturday he had already gained 10oz. back and was doing much better. We thought it would be best to let all three of them be together and take it easy.
We are hoping to go down there the weekend of the 15th. Kevin’s dad and step-mom visit the weekend of the 9th from New Orleans. Poor Sarah, no time to heal when you have company every weekend! And we are just contributing to it! Oh, well, she isn’t getting any sleep either, she will just have to run on adrenaline!!
No, I have not been pregnant and had a child so I have no clue how horrible it can be :) I get asked “that” question a lot though…oh, you don’t know “that” question. It is the married couple question. The first “that” question is when you are dating a man and all you get asked is if you are going to get married. Then you get married and “that” question becomes the “when are you going to have babies”. The funny thing is, when Jason and I first got married in 2004, everyone asked when we were going to have children (of course who doesn’t get asked that the second they come home from their honeymoon in Hawaii!!) and I said two years we will be having children. Then after the first year, again we were asked when are you going to be having children, reply: oh probably two years. The second year comes and I say oh probably two years…skip ahead to the fourth year and I am still saying two years!! Time flies. I really love my sleep and love not having to worry about $400 a week daycare in St. Paul, not having to get a babysitter, going out to movies and dinner etc. I know, eventually I will want to have kids but right now just doesn’t seem like the right time. Plus, I want to go to England, maybe even move there :) I need to travel more!
When we get down to see little Connor I will make sure to post pictures for everyone to see. I am sure he is getting so big right now!
