Hello Bryant!
Jason and I are starting to get a little baby crazy! I think it has something to do with getting a crib and changing table sent to us two weeks ago (so early!). The boxes have been sitting in our living room for two weeks, after the UPS guy dropped them off on our steps and Jason wasn't home I had to lug them both inside and they ended up in our entry way/living room and they are so heavy I think Jason doesn't want me lifting them again. So, there they sit.
We decided that the office upstairs would be converted into the nursery and Jason's office would have to go on the main floor in one of the extra bedrooms. Last night we started moving his office down (boy does he have a lot of junk in there - how many computer books does one need anyone?). We started with his closet. We moved everything downstairs into Sampson's room. The dog didn't really have his own room, we just had nothing to put in there but Sampson's kennel so it became his room.
As Jason was moving all his junk into his new closet I started going through some of the boxes and guess what I came upon? His BABY BOOK! He has a box with his baby book, all the cards from when he was born and tons of pictures. I had so much fun looking through it. As a 3rd child you don't have a baby book, it is just how things tend to work out. As a 2nd child you probably have a baby book but it is half filled out. As a FIRST BORN you get the works. Everything was filled out and the stories his mom wrote were so cute.
Look at those cute little feet!

His pictures are so adorable. He has the cutest little nose in every single picture. As soon as I saw his baby picture I knew it was him because of that nose!
From his Baby Book:
Jason was born on Friday, July 11th at 9:50 a.m. weighing 7lbs 5 oz and was 20 inches long. He was born 8 days early (his due date was July 19th). He crawled when he was 7 1/2 months old and started walking at 1 year and 1 week old! His first word at 8 months was "hi" and then "mama" and "dada".
- Jason crawled in a funny way for months before he finally learned to put one knee in front of the other. He would get up on hands and knees and throw himself forward. He moved pretty fast that way. Then at 7 1/2 months he crawled the right way.
- Jason was a good baby. Always slept well. Only got me up in the middle of the night about three times at 3:30 a.m. for a bottle. At about a month and a half he would sleep 12 to 13 hours through the night. He slept well during the day too. He was awake about 6 hours every day - 2 hours at every feeding. (I really hope Baby Reid takes after Jason this way!)
- Mary arrived at the hospital at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 10th. She stayed in labor room waiting for hard pains - nothing happened. So they let her walk around and watch t.v. in fathers waiting room. Finally at 10pm nurses gave her 2 sleeping pills and she slept through the night. Jerry came at 7 am and awakened her. Doctor came at 8:50 a.m to examine her. He found she was almost ready to deliver so endured labor. Had only 20 minutes of labor pains and they took her to delivery. At 9:50 a.m Jason was born. Mary had silent labor - no pain. (Wow, I really hope this is how my labor will go!)
The bill for Jason's birth: $407.70. Now I really want that to be my hospital bill!
You may be asking, why the title Hello Bryant. As many of you may know, Jason is actually named Jerome Jason after his Dad Jerome (Jerry). His parents didn't want a big Jerry, little Jerry situation so they decided to call him Jason.
I found an announcement in his box that his Grandpa and Grandma Hereford made in W. Virginia. It said Jerry and Mary Reid had a little boy, Bryant Jerome Reid. Mary wrote on the side that at the last minute they changed his name from Bryant Jerome to Jerome Jason.
I don't think Jason is a Bryant so I'm glad they had the last minute name change. He is definitely a Jason, Jasy, Jaser, Jas....I can go on and on.
