Our New Office and Sampson's Bedroom!
Since we are FINALLY having a baby, we had to move Jason's Office (a/k/a Our Office) from upstairs to the main floor, which was our master bedroom and then became Sampson's Bedroom, but I think he's okay with sharing his room with the Office. We have been putting this off for a while because all the cords under Jason's desk was such a mess and we both knew it would take a whole weekend to get it done.

When we moved from our condo to this house Dad, Matthew and Jason had to take Jason's desk apart to get it upstairs and my Dad said he doubted it would survive another move from its current location. With that being said, we decided it was best to just get a new desk for Jason, an L shaped desk so he would have an area to use his work laptop when he telecommutes. So off to Office Max we went. We found an L shaped desk that was in our budget and purchased it, unfortunately they didn't have it in stock so it would have to be delivered. Office Max delivers for free, fyi, and when they delivered it I was so glad that it was out of stock because both boxes were HEAVY. The one time I was glad to have hardwood floors was that day because I could slide both boxes into the office, otherwise there was no way Jason and I could have carried them.
The instructions said it would take 1 hour 40 minutes to set up the entire desk, but we are pros at assembly stuff so we thought for sure we could do it in less time. I do the directions and Jason does the labor....it works out fairly well minus the yelling and cursing, but with Baby Reid coming the yelling and cursing was very minimal! I was only yelled at twice, one of the time it really wasn't even my fault.
After about 2 hours of just assembling all the pegs to each bored and doing the pre-assembly we decided to call it quits, plus we ran out of wood glue they gave us so we had to get some more for the actual assembly.
(Sampson came to investigate what I was doing in his bedroom!)
The next night, with glue in hand, we started putting the desk together. It actually wasn't that difficult, there were just so many pieces! It took us about another 2 hours and finally the desk was together and in its spot. Now the hard part, putting the computers back together.
Saturday we moved my computer and Jason's computer into the new Office and started setting everything up. Unfortunately Jason did not marry a techy person so I really was no help, except to clean everything off. He did a great job though and by Saturday night we were almost done. Sunday we finished the computers and started moving chairs, pictures and all the other crap he could fit into his old Office.
Finally Sunday afternoon it was all put together and looks great! It is so nice to have his Office on the main floor so he doesn't seem so far away when I'm on the main floor.

Now we have to get busy on the nursery. We have carpet coming for that room Thursday (tomorrow!) and then this weekend we can put the crib and changing table together. It stills seems a little surreal that we are putting together a nursery because a BABY IS COMING! I wish that time would go a little faster until February hits, and then I remember that November is less than a week away so time is going by fast!
