Easter!
After the Lundell Baby Shower, the plan was that Grandma and Grandpa would take Daniel for the evening and Jason and I would go out to dinner and a movie. At the shower the plan was changed. Grandma thought Daniel could just stay overnight since the next day was Easter and we would be coming down anyways. That was a great plan except a) I only packed three bottles of formula b) the diaper bag only had 8 diapers and c) those two (Mom and Dad) raised Nicole, Matthew and I and I know how we turned out so I was a little hesitant! I'm being sarcastic, of course, my main worry was that we just didn't pack everything needed for an overnight visit. Luckily, Grandma had given Daniel formula as part of her gift so she just took that home. You see, Grandma thinks Daniel is too skinny so she has given him boxes and boxes of formula at the two showers...gotta keep him eating is what she says!
After getting the car seat base into Mom's car, she almost forgot to take Daniel! I was walking back into my Grandma's house and Mom said she would see me tomorrow. That is when I had to ask her if she was forgetting anything. She couldn't believe she had almost forgotten Daniel! Yes, I was not worried after that at all! :)
Daniel was, apparently, really good that night. He was chatting up a storm with Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Nicole. Luckily Aunt Nicole was staying the night too. We didn't have too many clothes in the diaper bag for the stay over, or maybe they just didn't like the outfit choices in there, but Aunt Nicole bought clothes for Daniel's Easter basket (see below) so they used one of those outfits, which happened to be 12 months! It was cute to see his pants constantly falling down. It will be a little sad when he is actually wearing that outfit when he is 12 months, he'll be such a big boy!
This is Daniel's first Easter basket. Aunt Nicole bought all the stuff in there, or rather, the Easter Bunny did! He received a few cute outfits, bath wash and a bath toy. He loves his baths so I'm sure when he is a little older he'll love playing with toys in there since he'll be in there for an hour.

Here he is in his 12 month outfit while opening his Easter basket. You can see the pack and play that he slept in. Mom had purchased that last Fall because she told me that he would be spending a lot of nights there.
After church they had to run to the grocery store because he was almost out of diapers. Now Grandma and Grandpa have plenty of diapers for all the visits. Mom keeps talking about how much stuff they are going to have to get at their house: blankets, toys, bouncer and highchair. Yes, they really do think he'll be staying over there a lot, which I am all for because Jason and I need a little away-from-Daniel time now and again.
I'm just glad he was fairly good for his first stay over! It was cute to see Mom, Dad, Nicole and Matthew at Mom and Dad's on Easter day all wanting to hold him, feed him and play with him.
Happy Easter!
