Baptism!

What!?! They have a Sonic? I wish I would have known that!! I have always wanted to try Sonic since I have seen their commercials a billion times! There is a Sonic in Saint Paul, not too far from our house, that just opened this summer. We went one time. The food wasn't the best but the strawberry limeade was EXCELLENT. Even Jason kept drinking mine. The news said that people came from North Dakota and waited in line for over 4 hours to get in!!
Connor was Baptized on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Davenport, Iowa. He was such a good little boy! He didn’t cry once. We are so honored to be the Godparents! It really is hard work. We had to light a candle, pray and repeat a few sentences. Oh, and then pictures, those are the worst! After the Baptism, Jerry & Carole made an excellent lunch and then Connor opened his gifts.
These two pictures are of Connor and Grandpa Jerry on the deck, Saturday night before supper. Look at his cute smiles!
The weekend just flew by. We arrived at Jerry & Carole’s around 2:00p.m. on Saturday and were leaving about 2:00 p.m. on Sunday! We didn’t get home until about 8:30 p.m. and were just beat. You don’t realize how much driving takes out of you. Okay, I didn’t actually drive but I had to read to Jason. I brought my Zune to play D.J. but apparently I only have "crappy" music on it. About an hour into our trip Jason asked me to start reading Angels & Demon’s by Dan Brown. The book before The Da Vinci Code. I read, in total, 10 hours! My voice was so dry by the time we got home. I had to keep drinking fluid every few pages. We did get about a of the book done. It is such a good book. I hope they don’t ruin the movie like they moved The Da Vinci Code movie. Here Connor is at his Baptism. Father is putting water on his head and also some oil, can't remember the name of it. It did smell very good though.
Connor, Sarah and Uncle Jason.
Daddy Kevin, Mommy Sarah and Baby Connor. He is reaching out for his Auntie Lindsay!
Grandpa Jerry, Grandma Carole and Baby Connor.
Connor is growing like a weed. He is so long, wonder where he gets his height from? He looks just like Kevin. He has the same long arms and legs like his Daddy, the same eyes and the same shape of head. I do think he did get Sarah’s lips though. It seems like the bottom half of his face looks like Sarah. He is such a cute baby. Sometimes you look at babies and you smile and say they are so cute, but you don’t mean it, you are just lying to be nice.....well, Connor is one of those babies that you smile at and say how cute they are, and hope that you have a baby just as cute! He loves to smile at his Auntie Lindsay. He was even trying to say Auntie, I could hear it! I cannot wait until Christmas and his birthday so we can start buying baby toys. We already have a few things in mind! So much fun! Uncle Jason feeding Baby Connor right before we left to go back home.
