Party Like It's 1999!
On to the real story! My cousin, Jesse, threw a party at his place on Saturday (August 16th). He finished building his deck and his gorgeous fish pond and wanted everyone to come over and see his accomplishments. Plus, I have not been to his house in Red Wing for 5+ years! We had a great time, besides the little fight in the car on the way there, but don’t worry, it was all Jason’s fault and in the end I claimed victory (again)!
All of my relatives were there and there was so much food! We had to get two big folding tables to hold the food and there wasn’t enough room for Jesse’s ribs and beef brisket! Grandma had some beet salad, it was warm and actually very good. Beets are excellent for you so I figured I would try, being that I am so adventurous! I am trying to be more adventurous, go into tasting a new food with an open mind! I took the beets and they were delicious but some how I ended up with bright pink beet sauce all over my shirt! It was my favorite shirt too. I hope to get that out, maybe a little Spray n’ Wash, of course it has already been three days.
The big talk of the night was the Olympics and politics, go figure. They are two of my best subjects!! I think everyone agrees, or at least they felt they had to agree, that we are pretty much screwed no matter who gets elected President. I think both of them suck, to be quite honest. So, yeah, that is a positive note :)
Wrapping up, we had a fun time. I don’t think I’ve seen the “Lundell’s” in about a year! We didn’t make it to Christmas Eve last year, so I bet it has been almost a year since I’ve seen everyone! Wow.
Way too much food though! I didn't eat anything Sunday because I was so full from Saturday night.
P.S. Thanks Uncle Mark for letting me steal your pictures :)
